Anita Vollenweider - pics and Polo passion
At ENPOLO, we celebrate individuals who embody authenticity, creativity, and effortless style. This week, we had the pleasure of speaking with Anita Vollenweider – a content creator whose aesthetic blends minimalism with warmth, and whose eye for detail brings quiet elegance to every frame.
Anita shares her take on timeless pictures, personal rituals, and the shoots that make her feel most herself. Join us as she opens up about her inspirations, how she stays grounded in a fast-moving digital world, and why shooting horses is more than just a trend – it’s a way of living.
ENPOLO: Where are you currently living, and what made you choose that place?
Anita: Im Living in Córdoba, Spain. because there is a lot of horse culture and there is the photography school where I will begin my studies this year. It is a very beautiful city and reminds me of Córdoba Argentina, where i'm from.
ENPOLO: How did your passion for horse photography begin? Was there a key moment?
Anita: I started since I bought my first camera in 2012. I am a veterinarian and I have always been dedicated to horses, they are my passion since I was a child. With photography I discovered that what I see of them I can capture and transmit it. A very particular look, I always seek to capture the essence. Now I only dedicate to photography.

ENPOLO: What kind of personal connection do you have with horses - do you ride or come from an equestrian background?
Anita:I don't know, I think it's a matter of souls, I've always felt very comfortable with them and they with me. I do ride horses but not in a professional way, don't practice any sport and I don't have an equestrian background, everything has been a passion for horses.
ENPOLO: What fascinates you most about portraying horses through the lens?
Anita: Their souls

ENPOLO: You don't just shoot polo but also other riding styles - what do you enjoy most about that variety?
Anita: Finding beauty
ENPOLO: Have you photographed any well-known polo players? Which encounter stood out for you?
Anita: Yes, of course I have taken pictures of outstanding players, but what I liked the most was that they called me to take pictures in their stables or in the farm, where the horses are more calm and natural.

ENPOLO: Is there a particular place you love photographing - for the light, the landscape, or the atmosphere?
Anita: There is no particular place, what attracts me is to play with the perception of the moment that presents itself, photography is drawing with light!
ENPOLO: What matters most to you in a photo: movement, emotion, or composition?
Anita: Emotion

ENPOLO: Are you a full-time photographer or do you also work in other artistic fields?
Anita: I am a full time Photographer but now I have to draw for the entrance exam to the higher degree course in photography, so I have returned to that side I had been sleeping on.
ENPOLO: Your images often carry strong emotion - how do you manage to capture that moment?
Anita: Because I put all my emotions to the fullest, I can't handle anything jaja
Anita: Because I put all my emotions to the fullest, I can't handle anything jaja

ENPOLO: Is there a horse that has especially influenced you in your photographic journey?
Anita: No, there is no special horse, but the variety of horses is. That is the journey and photographic adventure.
ENPOLO: If you could photograph anywhere in the world - where would you go, and why?
Anita: One of my dreams is to take pictures of horses in the sea, it's wonderful.
ENPOLO: What has been your most meaningful photography project so far?
Anita: So far, it has been photographing polo horses.

ENPOLO: How do you see the future of horse photography - more artistic or more technical?
Anita: More artistic
ENPOLO: What are your next plans or projects - can we look forward to something new soon?
