Las Floraleas Triumph at the Trophée du Bois du Lieutenant

Under the summer trees of Chantilly, the Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly witnessed a memorable final in the Trophée du Bois du Lieutenant – a thrilling match full of energy, talent, and rising stars. The tournament concluded with a well-earned victory for the German team Las Floraleas, who led the match from start to finish.

A Team Effort with Star Performers

While Argentinian player Gaston Beguerie (5 goals) took home the MVP award for his outstanding play, the spotlight was equally shared with the women of Las Floraleas, who brought strength and finesse to the field.

Team captain Maike Holty led by example, staying present and vocal throughout the match, and opening the scoring for her team. One of the most heartwarming stories came from Christabel Jaroch, the youngest player of the tournament, who will turn 15 next week. She not only held her ground at this 6-goal level tournament but even scored two goals, including one from a remarkably sharp angle — a name to watch in the future of women’s polo.

A Parallel Match Ends in a Draw

While Las Floraleas secured the trophy, a parallel game ended in a draw between Twist Polo Team and Los Siete, adding another layer of suspense and camaraderie to the weekend's action.

Final Score Progression – Las Floraleas:

  • 3-1

  • 6-2

  • 8-4

  • 10-6

🏆 Tournament Honors:

  • MVP: Gaston Beguerie (Las Floraleas)

The Future of Polo Is Here

The Trophée du Bois du Lieutenant highlighted not only competitive excellence but also the emergence of young talents and the vital role of women in modern polo. Las Floraleas' balanced and spirited performance was a fitting reflection of what polo is becoming: inclusive, dynamic, and thrilling from the first chukker to the last.

Stay tuned — Chantilly’s season has only just begun.
